The company was founded in Dunedin in 1966 and has grown steadily to its position today as a national industry leader. In 1986, TWL merged with Transport Specialties Ltd in Auckland, a leading original equipment supplier to the heavy transport industry, and 1992 saw the acquisition of the two companies by Gough, Gough and Hamer Ltd.
