Goughs Power Systems is the Power Division of Gough Gough and Hamer since 1 November 2006.

Caterpillar dealer since 1932, Gough Gough and Hamer has consistently provided power solutions to its customers: These range from truck engines to marine diesel engines for propulsion and auxiliary power, to turnkey power plants, cogeneration, standby and emergency power.

Goughs Power Systems offer power system solutions in five major segments:

Power Generation:
Goughs Power System will supply and maintain electrical power generation (diesel and gas) to any power application throughout New Zealand. Goughs can supply only or fully install generators from 6KW to 15MW in single units or any multiple combinations with full synchronizing. Goughs have a full engineering team to take any project from conception to completion.

Marine Engines:
Caterpillar sells more marine diesels engines over 200bhp (150bkw) than any other manufacturer in the world, especially for boats that range from 9 metres to 100metres. For fishing boats, salvage and harbour tugs to pleasure craft and mega yachts, Gough Power Systems can also select the marine engines that suits.

On Highway Power:
Caterpillar’s powerful truck engine line-up leads the insdutry in technological performance advancement, low cost ownership, long life-to-overhaul and overall performance. . With 16 branches and 23 independant dealers nationwide support is never far away. Goughs can supply truck engines from 175hp to 600hp.

Industrial:
Whether building from new or simply repowering an existing machine Goughs Power Systems can provide the engine you need, from water pumps to air compressors to overhead cranes.

Petroleum:
Goughs Power Systems has put resources into place to service the growing oil and gas exploration and production in New Zealand, whether it is a gas-zoned generator to power a drilling rig or an engine only for a mud pump application Goughs can provide the complete solution.

Goughs Power Systems can help its customers obtain financing through Gough Finance & Insurance a wholly-owned subsidiary of Gough Gough and Hamer.
